Mexican Constitution ceremony

Dear 8th grade students:

As you know, next Tuesday, February 5th, we're going to have the ceremony for the Mexican Constitution, so we need to get ready, I've already found some links that may help you. The information is entirely in English, which means that the ceremony will be held in the same language. I will coach you through the week with the pronunciation, but we need to get the text ready to get the rolls you are going to play and also to get the material ready. If you have any doubts please contact me via e-mail or post here your doubts.

Sincerely Miss Jenni ;D

The Green Glass Doors!

Hello Kids, let's play something online.
This game is called "Green Glass Doors"

Let's imagine that I'm outside a place with Green Glass Doors, and I'm the only one who knows the secret to get in and bring something from the inside. You are supposed to ask what you can and can't bring from the other side of the green glass doors. I will give some clues (examples of how it's played) and you have to continue asking, if you get it right, you will be able to go through the Green Glass Doors. If you know the secret of how to get through the doors, please don't tell the others and keep on playing, to see if they get it.
Let's begin!

I'm going through the green glass doors and I'm bringing cookies but not cupcakes.
I'm going through the green glass doors and I'm bringing a poodle but not a dog.
I'm going through the green glass doors and I'm bringing the moon but not the sun.
I'm going through the green glass doors and I'm bringing Harry Potter but not Ron Weasley.

About British food

Dear Students:

We are going to get busy learning about food and services, like restaurants. So I thought it would be nice if we get involved into the English culture.
Remember there are many countries speaking the language and sharing traditions.
Here I leave you a link to a site so you can start checking it. ;D
